the VIP chair was designed by marcel wanders for the world expo 2000 and was exhibited in the SKIN at the cooper-hewitt national design musuem. it's covered with a felt-like textile that hangs loose like trouser legs. the chair is mounted on wheels that are concealed by the fabric, making the chair appear to hover on the ground.
