designed by carlo colombo
in the perpetual comebacks that crop up regularly in the history of form and design, the fabulous 70s have always been a major player. carlo colombo was inspired by the 70s for his ''beth'' design: a shiny metal cylinder cut at a special angle, hinting at the ''futuristic'' furniture design when science fiction first came around, complete with an internal light source, screened with a special lens. its utterly new proportions deserve careful analysis, suggesting an intended use somewhere between a floor lamp and a table lamp, opening the way for new potential.
