designed in the 50s, the kartio service is an excellent example of franck's ability to design items of beauty and function. kartio has a simplicity and a form that is also seen in the kilta/teema dinnerware series designed for arabia ( also available from unica ).

most of the kartio range is produced in 9 colors: clear, light green, gray, blue, light blue, sea blue, blueberry blue, sand, ultramarine, and new for 2008 - turquoise. these colors are classic tones that can be combined within the range, but also with other objects in you iittala collection.
