the mezzadro stool and the sella seat were introduced back in 1957 at the exhibit "shapes and colours in nowadays home" at villa olmo in como in one "italian living room" with a ceiling suspended tv-set, abstract wall decorations and metal washbasins '800 style.
since the very first year it entered the zanotta production (1970) mezzadro became successful among the design lovers for its expressive strength until its promotion in museum (1972): the permanent collection of the ny museum of modern art.
in the following years it was included in the museum's design collections in munich, jerusalem, zurich and prague.
sella is constructed of a black racing bicycle seat, pink lacquered steel column and cast iron base.
