the new project dedicated to contemporary rugs, curated and created by cappellini in collaboration with tai ping carpets. with over half a century of experience in the sector, tai ping carpets is the only company able to combine the knowledge of handcrafting techniques and the latest technologies together with creativity.
it is a relationship that has resulted in the creation of a collection of “magic carpet” rugs, drawing on some of the greatest names in design including: patrick norguet, fabio novembre, françois azambourg, claudio silvestrin and the young designer lorenzo damiani.
there are ten carpets in all, each different from the other: not just in terms of the fantasy of their creators, but also in the various working techniques used. different blends of material, silk and technological fibers, give the magic carpet collection tactile and visual effects of great beauty. the magic of colors and the three-dimensional effect of the graphic motifs are truly breathtaking.
