artel was established in 1998 by american designer and entrepreneur karen feldman. artel specializes in functional glassware of high design, combining the traditional standards of luxury glassware with the utility demanded by modern life. the company takes its name from an early 20th century group of czech artisans who went against the grain of mass production in glass making and followed the same superior standards used by artel today. this is now made available in clear and painted.
