cor unum (latin for ‘one heart’) has been producing hand-made ceramics since 1953. clay, water, and fire are the ingredients for life in our world, and these elements form the basis for cor unum’s earthenware products. cor unum is based in a town in the netherlands that is well known as a european ceramics center, but today there are also locations in 13 european countries, japan, taiwan, hong kong, brazil, and the united states. cor unum has worked with many great designers to create their pieces and numerous museums have purchased items from their collection to display, including the museum of modern art in nyc and san francisco.
the ‘lucky charm’ table centerpiece was designed in 2007 by de makers van, a trio of young contemporary designers famous for their high energy and love of production techniques. the piece is made of glazed earthenware and is available in white.
