the new stepped wok is a versatile stovetop pan that is not limited to cooking asian foods but can be used for general searing, sautéing, and steaming. the wok allows a cook to grill, sear, and caramelize foods quickly on the bottom and then move the foods to a higher shelf in the pan to stay warm as other ingredients are seared on the bottom. the steamer fits snugly into the wok and is used to prepare foods that benefit from moist heat , which allows them to retain their flavor, color, and texture.
the TransTherm® universal base accommodates both cooking on gas or electric stoves. the stepped wok is 14.5” in diameter and is made of wmf’s trademarked cromargan® stainless steel and includes a heat resistant glass lid.
