cor unum (latin for ‘one heart’) has been producing hand-made ceramics since 1953. cor unum is based in a town in the netherlands that is well known as a european ceramics center, but today there are also locations in 13 european countries, japan, taiwan, hong kong, brazil, and the united states. cor unum has worked with many great designers to create their pieces and numerous museums have purchased items from their collection to disply, including the museum of modern art in nyc and san francisco.
michael geersten is a young danish ceramist who designed a children’s dinnerware set for cor unum. the pieces can be purchased separately or as a set. when purchased as a set it comes with a red cup, green bowl, and blue plate, as shown in picture. the cup also has indentions on either side to make it easier for little hands to hold.
