designed by lou henry for nambe, the frond cutlery series is notable for the just-cut-rose-stem motif at the terminus. made of polished 18/10 stainless steel, the frond series is dishwasher-safe.
nambé was founded in 1953 outside of santa fe, new mexico, near the nambé pueblo. they are primarily known for their eight metal alloy which ‘looks & feels like silver but is available at a fraction of the cost of real silver’. in addition, nambé’s metal alloy doesn’t need to be polished and retains hot or cold temperatures for long periods – making it perfect to use for baking and serving. the company began designing full-lead crystal items in the 1990s.
