the grill plate is a cunning redesign of the basic dinner plate. it has a raised ring in the center that allows you to separate food and keep sauces and juices out of other foods. the brunch plate version comes with a walnut insert. the insert has a hole for holding a hard-boiled egg and can be used as a miniature cutting board for bagels and bread.

ego is the collaboration of michael bruun and steffen schmelling. both have known each other for over 15 years, and it shows. their designs are the product of bruun’s business sense and schmelling’s creativity pushing and pulling each other. this tension has already earned ego several red dot design awards and promises more and better from this company.
