hogla is a beer glass designed in 1928 by jacob e. bang, a giant in the danish glass community. hogla is a pared down and functional glass without the ornamentation of other beer goblets of the time it was created. the name "hogla" is a contraction of “holmegaard glass.” because it is blown in a single piece, hogla is far more durable than its contemporary beer glasses.
