one of the grand traditions in the absinthe process is louching, or allowing ice cold water to slowly dissolve a sugar cube into the absinthe below. the process turns the absinthe cloudy-greenish white (or completely cloudy white if using a blanc absinthe), mellowing the alcohol content and flavors.

these absinthe fountains assist by releasing small amounts of water onto the spoons/sugar cubes. the additional number of spouts enables one to four people to enjoy the process at the same time. one fountain also allows you to serve absinthe. note: we would strongly urge you not to purchase absinthe with the green coloring. this was used to show contrast in the image only.
