timo sarpaneva was a prolific and versatile finnish artist whose career spanned over five decades. he was a sculptor who preferred to work in glass – one of his glass sculptures was chosen as “the most beautiful object of the year” in the USA in 1954 – but he was equally skilled in working with other materials, as his shaman pen and cardcase both show.

sarpaneva died on oct. 6, 2006, and unica has acquired the very last of these cardcases and pens. we’re offering them as a set. you’d best snap these up fast, because once they’re gone, there won’t be any more.
