the knoll sprite stacking chairs designed by ross lovegrove in 2004.
perfect for public or conference type seating, sprite also has a ganging mechanism available. the back is slightly curved near the base to provide a degree of lumbar support.
sprite has a molded plywood shell made of six layers of maple and three layers of adhesive and finished in a choice of reconstituted veneers made of both plantation poplar and obece/ayous wood and/or smooth and durable painted colors. the seat pad is upholstered with polyurethane foam and covered in a choice of fabrics or leathers. the base is made of .625" mirror chrome finished tubular steel and is connected to the seat with four screws. the four rubber bumpers assure proper stacking.
sprite is available with or without arms. the chair edging is painted for one-color painted version or natural maple for two-tone or veneered version. the maple or veneer options are recommended for high use applications. optional dolly also available.
