melamine has a melting point of about 130 degrees fahrenheit, don't place it in direct heat or on direct heating sources. the plates are dishwasher safe at temperatures below boiling and we recommend dishwashing at normal settings and air drying or drying for a short cycle in the dishwashing machine, although hand-washing is best for anything. do not microwave.
