the wonderful shape of table to enable, designed by boonzaaijer-spierenburg for moroso of italy, comes from an equally wonderful process. it’s actually a single piece of I-shaped plywood, with the crosspieces of the I molded to form the legs. molded plywood isn’t particularly unusual, but it's rarely used to such an extent in furniture making. the
three skin chair and
yo-yo table are the only other pieces from moroso that are made entirely this way.
bent plywood. top is white matte lacquer, underside is green lacquer. high-gloss lacquer available for an extra fee. not recommended as a seat.
