you’re probably saying to yourself, “salad bowl? and salad servers? come on! you mean these are made just for serving salad?”

well, we didn’t say you couldn’t serve just salad in them. it seems that the danish design firm of ego has been on a tear lately, redesigning all sorts of kitchen and tableware and designing all sorts of specialized tools.

and the salad bowl really is designed for serving salad. the hump in the center, they tell us, helps you mix your salads gives you a place to stow the specially designed spoons with their specially designed holes.

spoon is 18/10 stainless steel. bowl is bone china porcelain and is dishwasher, oven and microwave oven safe.

ego is the collaboration of michael bruun and steffen schmelling. both have known each other for over 15 years, and it shows. their designs are the product of bruun’s business sense and schmelling’s creativity pushing and pulling each other. this tension has already earned ego several red dot design awards and promises more and better from this company.
