the botanical pattern was designed for the firenze series of bone china by corrado dotti for l’abitare. it’s similar in some ways to the damasco pattern for the siena series of bone china, also by dotti and l’abitare. but while the damasco pattern is lush and organic, botanical is angular and geometric. if you’re from the midwest, it might remind you of wildflowers or of the vast swaths of grassland that once covered the great plains.
