this is the first graphic novel from yuko kondo, an illustrator who was born in japan and who moved to london. but too fat, can’t fly isn’t just a glorified comic book. born of kondo’s feelings of dislocation from moving from japan to london, it’s filled with graphical non-sequitirs as well as a view askew of super and ordinary heroes.
