a lot of toys nowadays have buttons and digitized sounds and flashing lights seemingly calculated to drive adults to distraction. even some baby toys are electronic.

not to be luddite or anything, but whatever happened to soft and cuddly toys that a child can hug – toys like these stuffed animals, handmade by israeli artists? they’re floppy, they’re soft, they’re made of warm fleece... and just look at those adorable little faces. how could anyone say no to faces like that?

best of all, there’s no blinking lights or soundchips to drive a parent mad. what a concept.
