originally designed by franco sargiani and eija helander in the 1970's for alessi, the programma 8 series was one of the most interesting and adventurous in alessi's history. designed to be a modular system easily adaptable for any use in a restaurant or home, the series was recently put back into production by the company. like the rest of the programma series, the plates are extremely useful and utilitarian. made in porcelain, the plates are simple rectangular and square forms which make a statement on any table- and they also allow more surface area to display when placed together (think about it)
