the british red telephone box is one of the most recognizable structures in the world. a bit of history: it was designed by giles gilbert scott for a 1924 competition. it was held to find a telephone booth design that would be introduced throughout the british isles and, needless to say, scott’s design – the K2 design – won. this single bookend is a perfect gift for any anglophile.
