the model 89 five-piece table setting includes one of the most unusual table knives in the pott catalogue. it drops the traditional straight blade in favor of a broad, almost scythe-like curve to the cutting edge.
this pattern was designed by goldsmith alexander schaffner, a member of the swiss werkbund.

pott was founded in 1904 by carl hugo pott in soningen, germany. his son, carl pott, joined the company in 1932 and established pott’s reputation as a manufacturer of fine cutlery. all pott flatware is handmade.
