philippe starck likes playing with conventional furniture designs. take, for instance, the rocking chair.
some people would expect a rocking chair to have a high back, but the bon rocking chair doesn’t. in fact, it looks for all the world like a dining chair on stainless steel rocking chair blades. it’s another example of starck’s playfulness and worth a second look.
with a cherry-stained, mahogany-stained, or satin white lacquered beech frame, foam-padded back and seat and stainless steel rocking blades. includes stainless steel armrest inserts.

the bon armchair is one of philippe starck’s more conservative designs. it’s a clean, classic design for people who think his bonze stool is just a little too out there for their tastes.
even though it looks buttoned-down, it can fit in just about any décor. the chair is available cherry-stained, mahogany-stained, or satin white lacquered and in two seat heights, and both the back and seat can be upholstered in a variety of materials.
