designed by josef hoffman for lobmeyr. charged with revamping an old style, josef hoffman took this piece which was originally designed in 1912 and was a real challenge for the craftsman. with the original design, the only way to put it together was to glue the round feet, which is something he wanted to avoid so they were taken out all together. the bowl is hand blown and has prismatic cuts on the outside, along with being polished to make it shine.
