beads and pieces is a new decorative ceramics collection from hella jongerius and a continuation of her exploration of the contrast of materials.
each piece is hand-crafted by artisans in the primary coca leaf-growing region of peru in traditional black ceramic and embroidered with different beads incorporating motifs of the indigenous shipibo tribe. the collection includes a bottle as well as small, medium and large bowls.
beads and pieces are part of artecnica's design with conscience program, which seeks to design and make products in accordance with humanitarian and environmentally-friendly principles.
