hans ulrich obrist is a curator at the musée d’art moderne de la
ville de paris. he has co-curated major international shows such as
manifesta i, rotterdam, the 1st berlin biennial, the 50th venice
biennale (utopia station), the dakar biennial, the 1st moscow biennial,
and later this year the 2nd guangzhou triennale in china. obrist
has also created many innovative exhibitions outside the contemporary
gallery format, including do it (more than 40 versions from 1994
to present), unbuilt roads (1997), cities on the move, laboratorium,
nano museum, bridge the gap. since 1997 he has been editor-inchief
of the hybrid artist pages point d’ironie.
