the lotus swivel armchair designed by jasper morrison for cappellini in 2006.
the attractive lotus armchair has a slight curvature near the lower part of the backrest to help with lumbar support. its sleek design almost gives the impression of what it might feel like to pilot the space shuttle.
its four-spoke, balanced and swivelling, die-cast polished aluminum base with plastic feet support a sleek seat structure made of beech multi-ply upholstered in polyurethane foam padding. the fixed external cover is available in several colorful cappellini fabrics or leathers. lotus is available with or without armrests.
also available is a multi-density polyurethane foam pouf with a feather internal padding, and removable external cover.
