the barcelona table designed by ludwig mies van der rohe.

little can be said about this fabulous piece that hasn't been said before. the barcelona is a staple of modernist design and part of the permanent design collection of MOMA. originally designed in 1929 for the german pavilion at the international exhibition in barcelona, knoll is the only company with a worldwide license to produce these pieces to the exacting standards of van der rohe's original designs.

each table is constructed of .75" thick clear polished float glass with a .125" wide beveled edge which rests on a choice of premium grade 202 bar stock stainless steel or polished chrome base, both of which are hand-ground and hand-buffed to a mirror finish. the stainless base is equipped with white bumpers and the chrome base with black bumpers.

additionally, the signature of ludwig mies van der rohe is stamped onto each piece to assure authenticity. beware of inferior knock-offs.
