made as a contribution to new york's moma exhibit "organic design in home furnishing", the organic chair is a comfortable small reading chair. designed by charles eames and eero saarinen. although designed in 1940, it was not produced because of a lack of manufacturing techniques. it wasn't until after 1950 that they could be manufactured in large quantities and marketed properly. made of a laminated seat shell, polyurethane upholstery, and stained black beech legs.
