yet another ‘impossible’ looking design from materialise – the ‘polyvase’ looks like it could be some sort of architectural design model for some form of modern building that was never built… or maybe just some kind of futuristic egg.
in any case, the good people at materialise have decided that what it is, in fact, is an ultra-modern vase (which is available in either a bright grass green or a copper toned dark brown - either color would catch the eye of just about anyone).
of course, what makes them really unique is how they are created: rapid prototyping technology. this 3D material printing process allows for freedom of design far beyond the capacity of traditional manufacturing processes, literally building the object one tiny piece at a time.
