in the vein of arik levy’s shaman pendant necklace comes a slightly larger version of the same design.
minishakes is a pendant lamp made entirely out of epoxy that achieves the same organic feel as the ‘shaman’ necklace in it’s shape. but, in its details, it creates an entirely different aesthetic. it has the look of carved stone from a distance, but get close and it appears to be something almost completely alien - a common characteristic among the materialize family of products.
of course, what makes them really unique is how they are created: rapid prototyping technology. this 3D material printing process allows for freedom of design far beyond the capacity of traditional manufacturing processes, literally building the object one tiny piece at a time.

available as a pendant lamp with optional hanging systems for hanging multiple lamps along with floor and table lamp versions.
