the cetonia chest of drawers designed by alessandro mendini in 1984.
cetonia's lacquered wood frame with its multi-colored hand-painted polychrome decorations presents a plethora of muted and pastel colors which almost blend seamlessly into each other - an effect which sometimes makes the eye look twice to see the separation of designs. the interior of the drawers are finished in grey lacquered wood and the handles are made of natural anodized aluminum. this unit is signed by the designer.
