with its container unit inside the base, the box bed gives new meaning to the concept of hiding or storing things under the bed. it provides a great place to store the things normally kept under the bed or even a possible hiding place for valuables or christmas presents. after all, who would think to look inside the bed frame?
the bottom base (which rests on the floor) is available in nickel-plated brushed steel or varnished graphite and the upper base and headboard are upholstered in polyurethane/dacron du pont with a non-removable internal nylon cover and a removable external cover available in a choice of fabrics or leathers. the steel inner frame is varnished aluminum. the springing is made of natural bent beech strips with stiffness adjusters inserted into nylon joints. the storage container unit which is fitted inside the upper base and accessed by lifting the mattress with a special device.
