eduardo souto de moura (born 1952, portugal) studied architecture at the school of fine arts in his home town. he has been awarded several prestigious european prizes. his recent work includes houses in the rua lugarintho, the renovation of the municipal market in braga, the portuguese pavilion at the expo 2000 in hanover, germany, and a project for the braga stadium.
