the insulated walls of this pyrex glass candle holder hardly heat up at all (the holder is easy to move). but the inside gets very hot which completely melts the candle and gives it the appearance of an oil lamp and the illusion of a flame hovering in midair. this “oil lamp” quality makes light radiate up as much as it does down. at last, you can see what is on your plate by candle light.
