the mitasi outdoor wall/ceiling lamp from artemide was designed by ernesto gismondi in 1991. this eye-catching lamp features a diffuser that is made from heavy white molded internally sanded glass with a clear center groove detail, and a sturdy frame of die-cast aluminum with a special corrosion resistant electrostatic polyester powder coating in black. the mitasi outdoor is water tight with hardware in stainless steel and is suitable for outdoor wet locations. an optional inner shield of anodized aluminum is available for downward or upward light concentration. this model is wall or ceiling mountable to a standard 4" octagonal junction box, UL listed for wet locations.
