designed by james irvine in 2005, the haloscope features a rigorous design and minimal visual impact-- simple yet sophisticated. the halopscope is a floor lamp with a slender borosilicate glass stem, and a base in transparent plastic material and chrome-plated metal. the diffuser, available in chrome or satin-finished metal, rotates parallel to the floor and on the light bulb axis thanks to a pair of joints. an additional control allows for dimming.
