dutch designer ulrike rapp ("uli" for short) was educated in germany and the netherlands, and produces high-quality jewelry and home accessories from her workshop in amsterdam. much of her work is inspired by 16th century fashions, particularly the jewelry of elizabeth I of england. uli's pillows are made through a labor-intensive process of cutting and sewing thick sheets of high-quality soft wool followed by the enhancement of each pillow with textured decorations of different materials. these methods result in fresh, contemporary designs that bring a new dimension to the home.
