originally designed by kaj franck in 1952, teema was designed as a basic dinnerware service with fundamental and revolutionary choices. colors could be mixed and pieces had numerous functions so that less items were needed for a complete set. using simple, geometric forms, kaj franck transformed the dinnerware service. freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe- also can be used oven-to-table. a completely versatile addition to your kitchen.

the craftsmanship is evident at all stages of production to ensure iittala objects are of the highest quality. even the seemingly simple task of choosing a color is an extensive process. color mixing is tried and tested before a tone is proven worthy for production. each color reacts differently to firing temperatures, so there are no short cuts for choosing a tone consistent with the iittala portfolio.
