loops by salviati features the age old murrhine technique in which small portions of glass rods are fused together to form a vase. the surface of the vase is then carved, placing emphasis on the contrasting pattern of the murrhini on the background.

harry is an industrial designer originally from holland. camila grew up in mexico and has a degree in fashion design. they met at the domus academy in milan, got married and opened studio harry&camila. this union has resulted in a great mix between dutch free spirit and latin sensualism. their design approach concentrates on experimentation with materials and topologies. their textile projects made with recycled objects and silicone have achieved great renown. they currently teach at the domus academy in milan and european design institute barcelona.
salviati was founded in 1859 by antonio salviati, a lawyer who wanted to revitalize venetian glassmaking. salviati glass is handmade and often emphasizes contrasts: opaque against transparent glass, matt against shiny glass.
