own a piece of an american icon with this collection based on a design by frank lloyd wright. this bold graphic was taken from the stained-glass windows that wright designed to enliven the interior of the avery coonley playhouse, a kindergarten in the suburbs of chicago. each window in the series was composed of lively combinations of simple geometric motifs in bright colors. the inspiration for the windows were the sights of a parade, with wright using abstracted balloon & confetti shapes along with an american flag. born in wisconsin in 1867, frank lloyd wright grew up to be america’s greatest & most innovative architect. wright’s legacy is one of america’s foremost cultural treasures & in 1940 he established the frank lloyd wright foundation to protect & preserve his life’s work.
