the .04 chair, designed by maarten van severen for vitra in 2000, is a sleek and stylish way to sit in comfort. very different from conventional swivel chairs, its flexible shell is comfortable to sit on and pleasantly yielding to the back. also, its new rocking mechanism allows for a smooth transition from the sitting to the reclining position and for gentle sideways movements adjustable height. the polyurethane seat shell comes in black, blue, gray, green, orange, and bright red. made of a flexible backrest which uses integrated leaf springs, and a die-cast aluminum base. available with or without armrests.
