marcato romano was the head of the project department at large company in the high precision metal components industry throughout the seventies. in 1979, he teamed up with his brother to start lapalma, and carried over the precision metalworking techniques into his product design. the manta features a slender, durable matte chromed frame that curves against the back for excellent lumbar support. the seat is constructed from beech plywood and will be covered with your choice of black, tobacco, or dark brown leather. if you plan on stacking these chairs the manufacture recommends covering the chairs to avoid dents.
