the bourgie table lamp designed by ferruccio laviani for kartell, 2004. classically inspired by the baroque lamp, the bourgie is revolutionary in that it is made entirely in polycarbonate. on one hand, it is classicality, richness, tradition, and on the other, it is innovation, transparancy, irony. the high quality of material and processing makes the lamp look like precious crystal but with unbefore seen flexibility. thanks to a special coupling system on the shade, it can be assembled at three different heights: 26.75", 28.75" and 30.7". bourgie is a provocative lamp that is as much sculptural object as functional lighting.
