mario bellini began his professional career as a designer in the 1960’s. he started out as a consultant to many companies but moved up the ladder to co-operate many large italian companies. bellini has won the compasso d'oro prize, the most authoritative european design award, several times. he designed the faust bed in 2000 and driade has been producing it since 2001. the faust double bed has an anodized aluminum structure with aluminum joints. the faust II was designed in 2002 and put into production that same year. this double bed has two headboards and an anodized aluminum structure with aluminum joints. both of the faust beds contain beech wood slats and mattresses are included.
