frammenti bowls and plates designed by marco zito for salviati.
impeccable elegance and minimalism characterize this family of bowls and dishes. the dishes are made out of a single egg-shaped piece of glass cut into three. the three pieces can be used together but each has a life of its own. the bowls, which are deeper and more generous, have been achieved from an oval piece cut in two. the available red/tea, aquamarine and amethyst colours have been softened with the sfumatura technique (gradated shades). the velato technique gives a matt finish to the large bowl. plates are available in small, medium and large sizes while bowls come in medium and large sizes.
marco zito graduated from the university of architecture in venice in 1994, after which he was involved in a number of projects regarding the organization of public spaces along with the architect paolo piva. he currently teaches industrial design at the university of architecture in venice.
