inspired by glasses from the 17th century, stefan rath designed this rustic drinking service around 1915 for lobmeyr. centuries ago, similar glasses engraved with comparable motifs were made in the rural areas of tirol. the shapes are oriental in origin and the ornamentation goes back to early christian symbolism. each glass is blown, cut, engraved, & polished by hand to ensure that every detail is exact.
