1.   What forms of payment are accepted?

Unicahome currently accepts, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, wire transfers, and money orders.
2.   How do I pay by money order?

When paying by money order, we are able to ship all in-stock items as soon as payment arrives. For special order items, we will not be able to begin processing your order until your payment is received.

3.   What is your return policy?

Most products at Unicahome are covered under the E-Z Return for a full refund. Please contact us via email at returns@unicahome.com to place a return. All returns need an RMA authorization number and must be received unused with intact packaging in resellable condition. Returns will be accepted within 30 days of receipt of product. Refunds minus exact shipping charges will be given within 30 days of receipt of product in acceptable condition. Furniture and lighting, if covered, is returnable for store credit only, except otherwise noted. Sales contracts will take precedence over this return policy. Lighting may have a restocking fee. This varies and may be substantial- 30% is a general measure. Restocking fees will be discussed before an RMA is given. THERE ARE NO RETURNS ON SPECIAL ORDERS, SALE/CLEARANCE or DISCONTINUED, LARGE DINNERWARE, CUTLERY, GLASSWARE ORDERS and POLYCARBONATE ITEMS. THESE ITEMS ARE CONSIDERED FINAL SALE.

Please be certain to return your purchase in original exterior box, well packed and insured for the full amount. Additional packaging may be necessary. A restocking fee may apply to any order not received in good condition. Return shipping, payment for return shipping, and any subsequent damages from return shipping are responsibility of the purchaser. Unicahome is not responsible for any package sent without a return authorization.

A refusal of shipment is billable for both return and original shipping costs, as well as a 15% restocking fee. Any storage costs due to refusal of shipment are the responsibility of the client. Actual shipment cost is based upon freight billing incurred by unicahome.

Unicahome values your business and looks forward to your enjoyment of the merchandise you have purchased from us. In order to insure of your secure receipt of ordered items, always specify "Signature Required" in our shipping conditions. If you choose to waive the signature required, you will assume the liability of providing a secure place of delivery and receipt from our shipping company. unicahome is not responsible for lost or stolen merchandise delivered without 'signature required'.

Important: Upon placement of order, please check your confirmation email immediately to insure "ship to" address is correct. Should the address be incorrect, please contact Unicahome immediately. Once a package has been shipped, there will be a $15 redirect charge should the address need to be changed while in transit.

Shipping costs from Unicahome will not be refunded or credited under any circumstances. Any purchases/exchanges due to returns are not covered under the free shipping offer. All costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated.

Use of Coupons: Only one coupon code can be used per sale, per person. Unicahome reserves the right not to accept coupon codes at any time.

Credits are good for a period of 12 months following issuance.

Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 10 days of package arrival. Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt as no claims can be made after 10 days. (note: if you are purchasing a lighting fixture that is being installed a few months down the road, test it when it arrives, not when it's being installed! The 10 day window will have long expired.)

During the checkout process, there is a checkbox labeled "I have read and agree with the Unicahome return policy." By checking this checkbox you are authorizing Unicahome to charge the credit card supplied during the checkout process under the above stipulations. The laws of the State of Nevada shall govern the validity, construction, performance and enforcement of any transaction or occurrence hereto. Any and all disputes arising herein shall be resolved within the State of Nevada, County of Clark, unless otherwise mutually agreed to by the parties in writing. If either party undertakes any action or arbitration, including equitable relief, against the other arising out of or in connection with any transaction or occurrence hereto, then the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover from the losing party reasonable attorney's fees and costs.

4.   How are special orders handled?

Special orders are defined as any product not normally stocked by Unicahome. Special orders with lengthy delivery times generally require a non-refundable 50% retail price deposit. Certain items drop shipped from the manufacturer directly to the client require full payment up front. Large dinnerware and cutlery orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Cancellation of a special order must be done within 2 work days of confirmation of the order to avoid complete forfeiture of deposit or payment. NO CANCELLATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOLLOWING THIS 2-DAY WAITING PERIOD. The 2-day wait period may be waived for express orders. Special order items may require the completion of a written sales agreement. Unicahome will not be held responsible for any loss, delay, damage or cost involved with any delay associated with product shipment or delivery. Unicahome makes no implicit guarantee of delivery date or arrival times for special order purchases. Some items may be out of stock and an extended period of time may be necessary for restocking. Some delays are due to manufacturing delays, others are due to increased security at our ports. We appreciate your understanding and will consistently do our best to assure speedy delivery of your special order. Unicahome reserves the right to cancel any order after it has been placed. Please contact unicahome for more information in regard to specific items. We are happy to provide guidance with product choice.

Please note that online sales through affiliates or merchants cannot be applied to previously quoted sales and are considered null and void.

5.   Can I have my items gift wrapped?

Gift wrapping is available on most orders with purchase of a gift card. When ordering online, please use the field labeled "Special Instructions" in the "Shipping Information" section of the order form to specify exactly which items you would like to have gift-wrapped.
6.   What is your shipping policy?

All orders are shipped FEDEX ground unless otherwise specified. In stock orders received Sun-Thurs are usually shipped within 24-48 hours; exception: US Mail. All orders $500 or over require a signature upon delivery.

Express shipments can be quoted for overnight, 2-Day or 3-Day shipping. Orders needing express shipping quotes must be placed by 12PM PST in order to process that same day. Certain items drop shipped from manufacturer may have an earlier cutoff time. Please call us (if possible) to be certain of a rush status and make a note on your order form. We will quote shipping ASAP. Express shipments placed on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday will be quoted the following Monday. Express packages do NOT ship out on Saturdays. Please note that Federal Express Ground does not deliver on Saturday. Express shipments can be delivered on Saturday, however, customers need to specify Saturday Delivery with an additional charge. Saturday deliveries can ONLY be specified/charged as overnight delivery shipped on friday. Assume express shipping delivery requests DO NOT include weekend days. For example, a 2-DAY delivery leaving Friday will be delivered on Tuesday. Freight items (sofas, etc) usually take additional time for delivery. see the FAQ on delivery times for additional information.

7.   Do I pay sales taxes on my purchases?

Nevada residents will have sales tax automatically added to their order.

If Unicahome is not collecting your state's taxes, you are expected to comply with your state's current laws regarding purchases over the Internet.
8.   What is your policy on privacy?

This Privacy Policy applies to all unicahome.com services. By using this site you agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. Please read the unicahome.com Privacy Policy before using our website. The Privacy Policy describes the type of information that is collected, its protection, and how it may be used.

Disclosure of Your Information:
Personal information of our clients are not disclosed. Information such as your name, email address, password, credit card number, and bank account number are never disclosed to any third parties without your explicit consent.

unicahome may do a follow-up email concerning quality control and requesting your input to make the unicahome experience better in the future. this follow-up is also done with anonymous clients.

Legal Requests:
unicahome.com cooperates with local, state, and federal law enforcement. However, in an effort to respect your privacy and our ability to keep the community free from bad actors, we will not disclose your personal information to law enforcement or other government officials without a subpoena, court order or substantially similar legal procedure.

9.   How do you guarantee the security of my credit card information?

The Unicahome website is secured using a Thawte Digital Certificate. This ensures that all information you send to us via the Internet will be encrypted using the latest 128-bit standards. Please view our Security Information page to verify the authenticity of our Thawte Digital Certificate.

Upon the placement of an order, you will notice the URL in your browser begins with "https://" to indicate that you are submitting your personal information via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). All credit card numbers are additionally stored in encrypted format in our order system and can only be accessed by individuals who are bonded and insured.
10.   How do I get free shipping?

Free shipping is available on most continental US orders over $100. Some items such as furniture and oversize items may require additional shipping and are exempt from this policy. Sale and clearance items and gift certificates do not have free shipping unless otherwise noted. To see if an item requires additional shipping, please read the description of the item, which will indicate if additional shipping cost is required. The free shipping offer is not applicable to any discount offers on dinnerware, glassware, etc. unless specified. Returns and Exchanges are not covered under the free shipping offer. assume $15-$20 shipping for each service for 4 in dinnerware. We do not overcharge for shipping and there are no handling fees. Free shipping is for Fed Ex Ground or USPS standard delivery only. All expedited orders and freighted items, such as large chairs and sofas, will be quoted shipping before the transaction is finalized.
11.   Why should I create an account?

To provide the best overall level of security for your personal information during the ordering process, Unicahome suggests that you create an account—using a login and password of your choice. This account allows you to enjoy a personalized online experience with us. Many useful features become available under "Your Account", such as utilities to change your password, update billing/shipping information, view your order history, manage your gift registries, and add or remove yourself from the mailing list.
12.   How do I search the online catalog?

The product search utility is very easy to use. You may search for a single word or a phrase. If your search results in too many matches than you expected, try narrowing your search with a phrase. Also, you may advance your search with the operators "AND", "OR", and "NEAR".

The "NEAR" operator is very useful when you want to search for something specific, for example, a stainless steel wastebasket. Simply type your search phrase as "stainless NEAR wastebasket", rather than "stainless wastebasket". The search results will return more matches that way.
13.   Can I ship an item directly to a registrant on the gift registry?

Yes, you can ship an item directly to a registrant on the gift registry under the following conditions:
  1. The registrant has put a shipping address on file with us (this is optional for any registrant) indicated by a "Yes" in the Direct Ship field on the Registry
  2. The order you are placing contains only gift registry items for one gift registry
If you would like to ship a gift directly to a registrant, but would also like to order items for yourself, then please separate your items into different orders. Otherwise, the direct ship option will not be available on the order form during the checkout process.

14.   Do I have to register all of my items at once when I create a gift registry?

No. Maybe you are not sure and do not want to make your decisions all at once. You can add, delete or update your registry items at any time by signing into "Your Account".
15.   Is it possible to receive duplicate gifts?

We make every effort to keep track of purchases against your registry. However, it is possible that your family and friends can make a purchase for an item found on our site, but not from the designated Gift Registry page. In this case, we are not informed that the item is from a gift registry, and can not properly track the purchase. Family and friends can be assured they are making a gift registry purchase if they see the icon in their shopping cart next to the item.
16.   What about international orders?

An order is considered "international" if either the billing or shipping address is outside of the United States.

For International orders, Unicahome asks that customers set up an account with Bongo International at www.bongous.com. Bongo will verify your international credit card and provide you with a US shipping address to the Bongo warehouse. Bongo will ship your items overseas at very competitive rates.

If you choose not to set up an account with Bongo International we are unable to accept international credit cards. THERE IS A $500 MINIMUM on orders to Canada and a $1000 minimum on other international orders and we will only accept payment via wire transfer. Choosing not to use Bongo International may delay your order due to lengthy processing times and required bank authorization. Unicahome can accept wire transfers in either EURO or USD. Please contact us for a quote in Euros. All shipping charges are quoted before shipment of the merchandise. Unicahome requests approval of all shipping costs from the customer before proceeding with the transaction. All customs and duties are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your customs office for possible charges. We ship only by air due to tracking requirements and less possibility of damage. Air charges are based on dimensional weight, rather than physical weight, therefore all orders need to be ready for shipment before a freight quote can be given.

17.   What about orders to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico?

Shipping is quoted and approved before an order is sent. Due to the high incidence of damage and loss, unicahome is no longer using the US Postal Service. We are currently using other carriers to track and properly insure our packages, making sure they get to you in top condition. Orders to Puerto Rico require a $500 minimum.
18.   How do I find out how much an item costs that indicates "CALL" for its price?

These items are special items that may be available in various configurations and/or fabrics (example: sofas). Many of these items are special order and may have an extended delivery time. Please call the contract department at 702-616-9280 or 1-888-898-6422 to check for the latest price and to get assistance in placing an order for these types of items.
19.   Why do I need cookies enabled to login or place an order?

Cookies allow us to maintain what is known as a "user session". A Session allows us to track your progress through our site and ordering system via the cookie. Your cookie from our site expires once you turn off your browser.
20.   CHRISTMAS PURCHASES & RETURN POLICIES????

After 12/16 it is STRONGLY SUGGESTED that items be shipped 3-day everywhere due to high shipping volume, especially to the eastern half of the U.S.. After 12/20, orders for Christmas will only be accepted as express shipments. Orders must be noted as express at this time in order to be shipped during this time to allow suitable delivery time. These shipments are charged based on dimensional weight. Please supply a suitable contact phone number to approve shipping costs. The free shipment offer is not valid for express shipments. Note: SATURDAY EXPRESS DELIVERY MUST BE NOTED ON SHIPPING NOTES.
3-day delivery closes at 12 noon PST on 12/19;
2nd day delivery closes at 12 noon PST on 12/20;
Overnight delivery closes at 12 noon PST on 12/21.
Unicahome cannot be held responsible for any delays or late shipments. We may not be able to gift wrap for express shipments due to time constraints for shipping. FEDEX does not offer guaranteed delivery dates/times during Christmas, and packages may get lost and/or damaged in transit. We therefore also cannot guarantee delivery times. We will do our best to correct any mishaps that may occur during shipment. Please call us at 1-888-898-6422 with any questions.

30 Day Return Policy from purchase date remains in effect as usual with exceptions as noted in item text or regular return policy. Assume gifts can be authorized to be returned from Dec 25 to Jan 24th. Calendars and sale items may not be returned.

21.   What is your cancellation policy for drop shipments?

There is a 15% cancellation fee for drop shipments directly from the manufacturer. This charge is effective once an order is processed and the manufacturer is notified. The customer will be notified of stock status on all direct shipments and no shipment will be backordered unless approval is given by the customer. Unicahome can not responsible for any delays, shortages, or errors by the manufacturer, and we will do our best to see that the customer receives the most reliable service possible.
22.   How are "Delivery Times" determined?

"Delivery Time" is an estimate of time needed to receive your item if you live in the continental United States. A delivery time of "Quick" usually means that the item is in stock and can be ordered for faster delivery (overnight, 2nd day, or 3-day) if necessary. All delivery times are estimates for fed ex ground delivery. A 12-16 week delivery time usually means that the item must be ordered (or is currently on order) from overseas and there are additional factors that may cause delay with the shipment, such as factory delays and customs clearance. These are usually built into the estimated delivery time. NOTE: oversize items (sofas, etc) will need to go airfreight for 1-2 week delivery at a substantial upcharge. A usual delivery window for freight items is 1-4 weeks if in stock for immediate delivery, with shipments to the Southern California area being fastest.
23.   How do I report damaged shipments?

Please email us immediately at returns@unicahome.com and we will process a claim and/or replacement. Fedex usually requires an inspection in the event of damage so please hold onto all packing materials and the item until further notice. Unicahome MUST be informed within 10 days of delivery of all damaged goods, or we cannot process a claim. Please inspect all deliveries thoroughly upon arrival.
24.   What about shipping to APO/FPO addresses?

Shipping to APO/FPO addresses will be quoted and does not qualify for free shipping offer. Orders will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service.
25.   How do I use gift certificates or account credits?

Please place gift certificate number in offer code section. If gift certificate covers your purchase then choose "money order" for payment. If additional payment is needed please choose and enter appropriate payment information. The same policy applies for account credits except please mention "Use Account Credit" in "Shipping Instructions" on your order.

*Please take note : gift certificates will not be subtracted from your shopping cart or reflected on your order confirmation. They will be done manually at the time your order is processed for payment.

26.   What is your cancellation policy?

Cancelled orders once processed and packed are assessed a 15% restocking fee. Unicahome reserves the right to cancel any order. Special orders may be subject to other rules.
27.   I'm ordering some merchandise at 20% off but the invoice doesn't seem to reflect this. Why not?

Listings with lighting such as Flos, Artemide, Resolute and other items, such as Fornasetti plates already have 20% off retail pricing shown. Orders for articles such as dinnerware with discounts starting over $100 will be shown on your invoice with check out. Please contact unicahome at 1-888-898-6422 if you have any further questions.

Unicahome reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The entire website and content is considered copyrighted by Unicahome, Inc. Occasionally there may be an error in pricing.
Due to the fluctuation of the dollar versus the euro our vendors are often changing pricing with little or no advance notice. There is usually a delay while we update our systems. We therefore reserve the right to change pricing without advance notice. Customers will be notified directly if there are errors in listing and we will not charge the client until direct approval is made. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you.

30.   How do I pay by wire transfer?

When prompted for your desired Payment Method during checkout, select the Wire Transfer option. After your order is placed, we will send you an email with all of the information you will need. You will then take this information with you to your bank to initiate the wire transfer. Once we have received the funds, your order will be fulfilled accordingly.
